Supervision Group For Therapists, Interns, and Trainees.

Please note: This group is currently closed. Contact me if you are interested and I will put you on a waiting list.

This psychoanalytically oriented case consultation group currently meets every other week on Monday mornings from 10am to 11.30am.  Through the use of case presentations, assigned readings, and discussions, we explore the dynamics between client and therapist, and we assess theoretical applications for sound practice. Therapists from diverse theoretical orientations are invited to participate.

We will focus on topics such as:

  • How to initiate an analytic relationship,

  • How do you deal with a difficult client,

  • How do you interpret unconscious material,

  • How do you establish the position of the analyst,

  • How do you work with cultural and gender differences,

  • How do you develop a therapy practice,

  • How do you organize and manage caseloads, and

  • How to deal with legal and ethical issues arising from the analytic relationship.

In this supervision group we consider the complex dynamics of transference and counter-transference, and we offer the space for the therapist to explore his or her relationship to the client.

CEU units are available, and the cost for participation is $40 per session. Please contact me for more information.
